Are dragons really gone?
With the end of the plague came the end of dragonrider-kind, and, therefore, the Weyrs have been abandoned. Only the oldest remains, Fort, and a new settlement, Viorel, in the south. Wherhandlers have risen up in an effort to make up for the loss of the dragons. With daylight goggles, they are now calling themselves Pern's saviors, adopting the roles of Weyrwomen and Weyrleaders as if it has been their's to take all along.
Weyrwoman Hala and gold Halask currently rule Viorel Weyr. Halask is egg-heavy, and ready to lay her clutch. A new legacy has been born, seeing as dragons have been gone for little over 3 Turns. Whers have not only grown larger, but stronger. Many have lost hope in ever seeing a dragon in Pern's skies again...
