Loretas Country

Icy, but glorious. It's cities are beautiful, seeming to almost be made of pure glass or gemstones and often surrounded by walls to protect them from storms. Some of the smaller Holds are built into cliff walls or mountain sides or even dug into the earth and live partially above and below the ground of Pern. Cats are common here and so are a breed of dog made especially for chasing tunnel snakes and the tunnel rats that live in those smaller holds.
