Impression: As you may have guessed, Impression here works a bit differently than other Weyrs. Because we do not have specific colors or ranks based on them, your character could Impress literally anything of any size and any color! And even any gender! Size is the only factor there is. However, size doesn't determine rank!
The important thing to note in your Dragon Preferences is gender. That's all. And generally, gender preference will be granted.
Hatchings, Clutches and Flights: 1) Flights/Runs: To have a Flight, you need to message an administrator and have it put on the schedule. There are a limited number of on camera Flights because too many gets confusing. @_@ Clutching flights will/must be asked for. We may or may not need or have candidates or room for more dragons at a certain time, unfortunately.
2) Clutches: You must ask permission for a clutch. You may suggest a number of eggs and design the hatchlings. However, the administration will decide the final number for purpose of population control. Typically this will be myself, though others who I give authority to may be able to as well. Clutches must fit within the clutch limit for the dragon's size and egg or two outside might be okay once in a blue moon.
3) Hatchings: Hatchings are run by the Rper of the ClutchMother. A Candidate should not interfere with a dragonet after it has hatched as this is warrant for being mauled unless there is some particular special circumstance, but even then, your character may be subjected to getting mauled. No mauling will be severe or allowed to go on too long by the mother.
Ranks: Ranks are not decided the same way as most places, obviously, as there are no color parameters, kings or queens. The way this works is that Silence is run by a council. Every time the Weyrwoman or Weyrleader is getting ready to retire, the Wingleaders, Wingseconds, Headwoman, Steward, WeyrHealer, and WeyrHarper will get together and the previous will give their choice for the new leader. However, if they feel there is need for change, riders may petition to have a change in leadership. All positions are filled based on merit choice.
With this said, the Weyrwoman is the head politician of the Weyr while the Weyrleader is like a General. Both appoint their own seconds - such as the Weyrwoman's Jr. Weyrwom and the Weyrleader's Weyrsecond. These people can be challenged if enough riders see them as unfit. The Weyrwoman and Weyrleader's dragons are not a pair that have mated necessarily as the Weyr's no longer rely on the same system as they did in the past.
It is also similar for Whers in that leaders are chosen or appointed based on their merit and sometimes replaced if a petition is made. Along with other relevant positions.
